Plaza Design was created in 1982 to support artists and provide interesting jobs. Regional artists stocked the 350 square foot store with consignment pieces. Some of those artists, including ceramicist Peggy Loudon and jeweler Holly Hosterman (now known as Holly Yashi), are still with us today.
After a move and expansion on the historic Arcata Plaza, we opened a store in McKinleyville by the world's largest totem pole. In October of 2002, we added 9000 square feet and a Garden Center in downtown Eureka's historic Gross building (1903).
Plaza Design maintains its original intent to support regional artists. We work closely with woodworkers, ceramicists, jewelers and a local tableware company, Fire and Light. We strive to keep our customers happy and they give back to us with their appreciation and deep regard for Plaza Design. Many come in just for a little lift! |
